I’ve been cooking for my family everyday for more than 3 years already, so i was always able to decide what to cook, but my family sometimes likes vegan food but not everyday, so when I’m cooking for them too, i vary, once a week I’ll make fish, sometimes i put dairy into meals, I’ll always put lot’s of veggies or salads into meals though. Once a week my dad cooks and then he usually makes meat. then I’ll cook something small for myself, to substitute the meat or eat leftovers..
i think veganism is something that you should read about a lot first, before you start, because it can be health damaging.
I would also very much recommend not to be too strict with yourself, it will only make you feel drained (mentally and physically)
When it comes to your family you could ask your parents whether you can cook sometimes (however often you want to) I’m sure they’d be happy if you take over a task in the household..
